Sunnyside Valley Irrigation District (SVID) is seeking a full-time Water Quality Technician.. Any interested candidates should value routinely working in the field and laboratory setting. This position requires collecting water samples, and performing chemical and biological testing of the samples on the same day. Daily and/or weekly operation and maintenance of field sampling and laboratory equipment are required. This individual will be required to perform water quality sampling at district waterway facilities and will be responsible to process laboratory data and records on a year-round basis. Exposure to inclement weather conditions and wading in waterways will occur at times. Individual is required to lift up to 50 lbs. of weight.  Desirable skills include: time management; experience working in a laboratory; data analysis and management; knowledge with  Microsoft Office programs (Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); strong field observational skills; detail-oriented; and ability to work independently.
