Lower End Supervisor

Job Description:

The Lower End Supervisor has responsibility for operation and maintenance of the district’s facilities on the lower end. This employee will report directly to the Assistant Manager of Operations. He/she will be the direct supervisor of the Lower End Crew.

The Lower End Supervisor will act as project superintendent on lower end construction and maintenance projects whether contracted or performed by district forces. He/she will supervise the development and insurance of compliance with district standards on all projects.

The Lower End Supervisor shall supervise employee training, cross-training and compliance with safety regulations.

The Lower End Supervisor will respond to landowner questions and complaints concerning operational problems. He/she will be required to respond to after-hour, weekend, holiday, and emergency calls on a rotational basis. He/she shall perform such other duties as may be assigned.

This position requires a minimum of four years of supervisory experience and be able to respond to after hour and weekend emergency calls. Employment with an irrigation district and a public applicators’ pesticide license is preferred. The position requires excellent oral and written communication skills and proficiency in basic computer skills.

Anticipated salary range is $80,000 to $85,000 DOQ.
