The Sunnyside Canal Improvement Project (SCIP), which consists of rebuilding about 30 check structures, constructing three re-regulation reservoirs with a total capacity of over 1000 AF and canal automation began fall 2004. CH2M-HILL was selected as the engineering firm to provide design and construction management services for the SCIP. 

The work scheduled to begin August, 2007 consists of the construction of an earth embankment to form a 500 AF reservoir, including reservoir inlet and associated appurtenances, this project is title 23.7 re-regulation reservoir.

Mabton Trestle Crossing-Statement of Qualifications (SOQs)

The Sunnyside Valley Irrigation District requests Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) to provide engineering services to 1) estimate the remaining service life and 2) prepare budget level options for repair or replacement of the Mabton Trestle crossing the Yakima River (60" riveted steel pipe on 13 wooden piers).  SOQs should be submitted by interested parties not later than October 10, 2007.  For additional information (click here), or contact Don Schramm, P.E. at (509) 837-6980.
